This Cloud Clinic on April 17th at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time will focus on connecting an Azure Account to a GitHub Account. This relatively new feature of GitHub lets you use your cloud resources to access pay-as-you go GitHub features such as larger machines for Codespaces, larger machines, and T4 GPU machines for GitHub Actions! In effect, GitHub offers an alternative to the ‘Azure Portal’ for configuring compute resources giving you access to a subset of managed pre-configured machines to run interactive computing sessions with VSCode or do lightweight batch computing. In addition to discussing basics, we will highlight how research groups have been using this approach for research projects.
