Research Goals
Zach is currently a Senior Data Analyst at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation. He is a political methodologist interested in interpretable machine learning, its application to the study of political violence, and social science generally. He is also interested in meta-scientific issues related to the analysis of social data. He has published applications of these methods and developed software which implements them. He has also published work showing the advantages of this approach.
