Professor, Department of Biostatistics and Department of Health Services
Gary Chan is Professor of biostatistics and health services. He develops statistical methods for observational data in population health studies, and has a broad research interest spanning from complex sampling designs, complex observational outcomes (survival, longitudinal, multivariate) and evaluation of observational exposures (causal inference). He has continued interest in working at the intersection of mathematical statistics and real-world problems. He also has an extensive collaboration experience, and is currently an Associate Director of the National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center.
