Biography
Work in the Wood Lab focuses on the ecology of parasites and their hosts. We are interested in the ecological drivers of parasite transmission, in the determinants of parasite diversity and abundance, and in how human impacts on the environment change parasite assemblages. We also apply parasite ecology to real-world human disease problems.
Our lab is committed to the principles of open science. We make all of our data and code publicly available, use GitHub to make our data curation and analysis tasks reproducible, share our standard operating protocols openly, and strive to make all of the teaching materials we produce publicly accessible.
