YeonJoon is a postdoctoral scholar at the Applied Physics Laboratory at the University of Washington. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. His graduate research focused on improving acoustic imaging systems using metamaterial/bio-inspired approaches. At the Applied Physics Laboratory, his research focuses on developing physics-based computational models to understand the interaction of sounds with elastic media. He is also interested in leveraging high-performance computing (HPC) to solve challenging computational problems in acoustics.
