Niki Burggraf is a Senior Software Engineer for the UW Scientific Software Engineering Center (SSEC) at eScience Institute. With over 6 years of experience building and maintaining cloud web services, Niki is excited to bring her industry experience to the scientific software engineering sphere.

Prior to working at SSEC, Niki worked at Amazon on its serverless compute offering AWS Lambda. Her contributions have supported a number of customer-facing feature launches, including dead letter queues for monitoring asynchronous function execution failures, weighted aliases to support A/B testing and rolling deployments, and orchestrating and vending post-initialization snapshots of a function’s execution state for future faster executions.

Outside of work, Niki likes to read, play with her dog, and play video games.
