Lauren Moseley is a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Washington’s Cooperative Institute for Climate, Ocean, and Ecosystem Studies (CICOES), with affiliations at UW Oceanography and the NOAA Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL). Her main research focus is examining trends and variability in the global ocean biogeochemical properties of models and observation-based products, with the goal of mechanistically increasing the fidelity of hindcast and forecast simulations. She also likes thinking about biogeochemical data assimilation, air-sea gas exchange parameterizations, and deep convection in the subpolar North Atlantic. Prior to her current position, Lauren received a B.A. in Chemistry and Arabic Studies from Williams College (2016) and a Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Columbia University (2025).
