Kristen is a postdoctoral scholar with the Center for Environmental Forensic Science under the guidance of Dr. Samuel Wasser. Kristen designs forensic DNA tests for counter wildlife trafficking. Her projects include custom DNA tests for source prediction of African elephant ivory, African pangolin scales, and timber and plant products from the overexploited neotropical tree genus Cedrela.
