Join us for the Research Computing Club Hackathon on April 19,2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the WRF Data Science Studio – campus map.
The Research Computing Club, in collaboration with the UW-IT Research Computing and eScience Institute, is excited to host a all-day High-Performance Computing (HPC) Hackathon that is open to all majors and experience levels. Whether you’re new to HPC or already have experience, it’s a great opportunity to learn, collaborate, and explore powerful computing tools. No prior HPC knowledge is required, but basic Linux skills, like navigating directories and running commands, is recommended. Additionally, laptops will not be provided. To participate, we encourage you to bring your own laptop.
You can choose from topics like running large language models (LLMs) on HPC systems, molecular dynamics simulations, quantum computing in chemistry, and more! If you’re interested, sign up here. Food will not be provided, so please plan accordingly.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out at hpcc@uw.edu. We look forward to seeing you there!
