In recognition of International Open Access Week, the UW Libraries’ Open Scholarship Commons is hosting “Hacking the Academy: The Adoption of Open” on Monday, October 23rd from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. over zoom.
The discussion will explore the theme of “community over commercialization” and provide an opportunity to examine the successes and challenges of adopting open practices in software development, open education, open data, and new funding models to support this work. The event is part of OSC’s Hacking the Academy program series, which looks at new ways in which research is produced, shared, archived, and reused.
