Data Science & AI Accelerator Informational Meeting

When

04/21/2025
11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Join us for an informational meeting on the Data Science & AI Accelerator program on Monday, April 21st at 11:00 a.m. on Zoom. Register here.

The goal of the eScience Data Science and AI Accelerator is to enable rapid advancement of data-intensive projects by bringing together data scientists and domain researchers to work on focused, collaborative projects. The Accelerator program is open to faculty, postdocs, staff, and graduate students from any of the three UW campuses. The Data Science and AI Accelerator will run year-round and accept proposals for projects of various durations (from 1 week to 6 months) and various intensities (from sprints to slow burns).

We are looking for projects from any field of study that would benefit from collaboration with our team of data scientists on data intensive and AI approaches, such as machine learning, scalable data management, statistical analysis, data visualization, open-source software development, and cloud and scalable computing. We support projects that vary greatly in terms of their methods, scope, maturity, and area of application. In reviewing the proposals, we will be looking for projects with well-defined deliverables that clearly articulate the research impact and why the eScience Data Science & AI Accelerator is critical to advancing the project.

The deadline for proposals to be considered for the summer accelerator program is Sunday, April 27th by 11:59 p.m.
