Kate Rich is the eScience Institute’s Communications Specialist. While directing the organization’s external communications strategy, she writes accessible content about data science for interdisciplinary researchers and general audiences alike. Prior to joining the institute, she won multiple national and regional awards for academic research and speechwriting. Kate received her PhD in Communication from the University of Washington with a certificate in Science, Technology, and Society Studies.
