Quentin is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the School of Oceanography at the University of Washington, where he works collaboratively within the Ocean Data Lab and the William Wilcock’s Lab on an Office of Naval Research project. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Ecole Normale Superieure Paris-Saclay, and his M.S. in Acoustics from Sorbonne Université. His Ph.D. research focused on developing sound propagation models in forests and exploring their potential applications to bioacoustics. Currently, Quentin’s research centers on marine mammal localization using Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS), leveraging a large dataset of recordings from the OOI cables. By integrating insights from his previous work, he aims to advance our understanding of underwater acoustics and contribute to conservation efforts for marine species.
