Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry
Matt Bush is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Washington, where he is also affiliated with the Department of Biochemistry, the Biological Physics, Structure and Design Program, and the Molecular Engineering and Sciences Institute. His research group is focused on developing mass spectrometry based approaches for elucidating the structures, assembly, and dynamics of protein complexes.
His group applies these approaches to a wide range of biological systems, including those involved in regulating protein degradation and protein homeostasis. His group also develops software for analyzing results from ion mobility mass spectrometry experiments and develops statistical models to enable more robust comparisons between ion mobility experiments and structural models.
