Erik Alan Petersen is a translational hearing scientist who is dedicated to applying traditional engineering tools and contemporary artificial intelligence models to complex real-world problems in acoustics, audio, and hearing sciences. As a postdoctoral scholar working with Professors Yi Shen and Bonnie Lau, Erik’s research centers around developing novel diagnostic protocols for patients with hearing loss and atypical auditory profiles. Erik completed his Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences with a specialty in Acoustics at the Aix-Marseille Universite in Marseille, France.
