Xiaowei Zhang is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at UW Seattle. His research topics span light-matter interactions, topological physics, and machine learning. He is working on combining first-principles density-functional theory calculations and machine-learning molecular dynamics to explore novel materials on a large scale.
