Woosub Shin is a research scientist working on computational biology projects under Dr. Joseph Hellerstein. Previously, he graduated with an MS in biostatistics at the University of Michigan. During his time at U-M, he served as a graduate student research assistant at the Kidney Epidemiology & Cost Center, working on missing data problems arising from electronic health records.
He has a broad range of interests including computational optimization, data-driven decision making, and quantitative social science. In his free time, Woosub enjoys hiking, reading books, studying math, and looking for great coffee.
