Biography
Purshottam Shivraj is a graduate student in data science at University of Washington and started working at the eScience Institute during the 2018 Winter Incubator program with Rob Fatland and Amanda Tan. He provides software and research support to researchers in scaling work on the cloud and leveraging machine learning.
He is currently working on a whale sound classification project using computer vision to classify whale sounds using acoustic features. Additionally, he participates in data science competitions on Kaggle and is currently a competition master on the platform doing natural language processing, computer vision, relational data sets, etc., and he works on related problems.
