Dr. Yeung is Professor in the School of Engineering and Technology at University of Washington Tacoma and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Microbiology at University of Washington Seattle. Her research focuses on the development of data science tools and their applications to computational biology. In particular, her lab focuses on the development of methods and software tools that leverage cloud and container technology that will allow biomedical researchers to build and execute modular, reproducible and scalable big data workflows. She is also strongly committed to enhance the diversity of the STEM workforce.
She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Washington and was awarded the NIH K25 Career Development Award in 2004. She also has extensive experience serving as a PI and project leader in numerous NIH awards.
