Jim Pfaendtner, Chemical Engineering
Marina Meila, Department of Statistics
Chris Fu successfully defended his thesis “Contributing to the development of the metadynamics methodology for studying chemical reactions.” He is now working at the National Academies of Sciences as a Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Graduate Fellow as part of the Board of Mathematical Sciences and Analytics. Fu served as the president of the UW Research Computing Club from June 2018 to Jan. 2019.
Fu was a graduate student in the Chemical Engineering Department and was a participant in the eScience Institute’s Big Data IGERT program. He completed his B.S. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Virginia.
Chris’s research focuses on improving enhanced sampling methods for molecular dynamics simulations and applying these methods to the study of complex chemical reacting systems.
