Amnon is currently working on analyzing calcium images of the Hydra, using data generated by Rafael Yuste’s lab.
Horowitz worked at Microsoft from 1993 to 2011 where he helped build many versions of Windows, from Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 7. He’s also worked on Visual Studio, the .NET framework, Microsoft Security Essentials, and the Forefront anti-malware products.
Horowitz also worked at Google from 2013 to 2015 where he helped build the Google Cloud Platform.
His research interests are in computational neuroscience. He is seeking to increase our understanding of the architecture of nervous systems by using modeling and machine learning techniques.
