UW Data Science Postdoctoral Fellow
Biography
Alice Schwarze received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in theoretical physics from the Berlin Institute of Technology and a DPhil (PhD) in Mathematics from the University of Oxford. She was a visiting graduate researcher at the Mathematics Department at UCLA and is now a postdoctoral research scholar at the Department of Biology at the University of Washington.
Her research connects network theory with applications in biology and data science. On the theory side, she works on dynamical systems, network construction and inference, and network robustness and resilience. Applications include the inference and design of neural networks in nature and technology.
