SUMMARY:UW Data Science Seminar: Neelam Koshiya and Breanne Warner
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a UW Data Science Seminar featuring AWS Prin
cipal Applied AI Architect Neelam Koshiya and AWS Enterprise Solutions Arc
hitect Breanne Warner on Wednesday\, April 16th from 4:30 to 5:20 p.m. PT

act: As generative AI reshapes our digital landscape\, cross-sector partn
erships between tech companies\, researchers\, and government bodies have
become essential for developing robust ethical frameworks. This session ex
amines critical challenges facing responsible AI development\, including a
lgorithmic bias\, the spread of synthetic misinformation\, and the prolife
ration of deceptive deepfake content. We explore practical strategies for
building transparent\, explainable AI systems while addressing inherent bi
ases in current models. Discussions will cover data privacy protection mea
sures\, the importance of diverse training datasets\, and compliance with
evolving regulatory standards. Participants will gain insights into cuttin
g-edge developments while considering how to shape an ethical and sustaina
