DESCRIPTION:The Carpentries is a non-profit volunteer organization whose me
 mbers teach researchers how to use computing tools and tools for managemen
 t\, analysis and visualization of data.\n\nThe eScience Institute at the U
 niversity of Washington is holding a Software Carpentry workshop on Octobe
 r\, 19th-22nd from 9:00 a.m. to noon PT each day at the WRF Data Science 
 Studio\, UW Physics/Astronomy Tower\, 6th Floor\, 3910 15th Ave NE\, Seatt
 le\, WA 98195. The workshop focuses on software tools to make researchers 
 more effective\, allowing them to automate research tasks\, automatically 
 track their research over time\, and use programming in Python to accelera
 te their research and make it more reproducible.\n\nFor more details on ou
