Please join us on March 11th, 2020, from 12:30-1:20 PM in Thompson Hall (THO) Room 317, for Margaret O’Mara’s lecture, “Writing the History of the Present: Qualitative Methodology in the Code” as part of the Jackson School of International Studies’ QUAL (Qualitative Multi-Method Research) Program.

Margaret O’Mara is the Howard & Frances Keller Professor of History at the University of Washington. O’Mara will discuss why she considers qualitative analysis to be critically important in documenting the history and study of business and of technology.

QUAL is a UW-wide initiative launched in response to pressing demand for qualitative research design and methods in universities, the private sector, and government. QUAL’s goal is to promote teaching and research related to qualitative methodology, and to foster a professional community of qualitative multi-method researchers.
