SUMMARY:Programming From Zero
DESCRIPTION:The advent of AI-assisted programming (sometimes called “vibe
programming”) enables researchers with little or no programming experie
nce to create running programs. This is often referred to as programming f
rom zero.  However\, codes that run are often not codes that produce the
correct result. This lecture introduces techniques for AI-assisted program
ming for checking correctness\, correcting errors\, and adding new feature
 s. Some prior programming experience is desirable\, but not essential. We
will be developing Python programs using Google Colab. You should check th
at you have access to this free service.\n\nPlease visit our Google Form t
o register for the February 23\, 2-4pm event at the eScience Institute WRF
Data Studio. Note: this course has a $10 fee.
