This event will no longer be hosted on campus but rather live-streamed on https://bluewaters.ncsa.illinois.edu/petascale-computing-2019/
The eScience Institute in partnership with the Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering and UW-IT Research Computing are hosting the Petascale Institute from August 19 to August 23 from 8 AM to 3 PM.
It is a week long, live, hands-on, international workshop on high-performance computing (HPC) from a master host site at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illinois to select remote sites around the globe, including the University of Washington. We will cover topics such as intranode (e.g., OpenMP) and internode (e.g., MPI) of parallelization of computational software to address problems at scale. Software libraries for HPC as well as other forms of parallelization for hardware accelerators (e.g., CUDA, OpenACC) are covered.
Seats are limited so please click here to apply to attend in-person. If selected to attend, the cost is free and will be held on the Seattle campus in the Allen Building. Further details will be sent to selected attendees.
