We will have a discussion about challenges in data sharing. We will have three short presentations:

1. Dave Rocamora  (Amazon Web Services) will present the AWS Open Data program.

2. Jenny Muilenberg (UW Libraries) will present the data repositories available at the Libraries.

3. Noelle Nightingale and Brent Bell (UW IHME) will discuss IHME’s practices around data sharing in the framework of the Guidelines for Accurate and Transparent Health Estimates Reporting (GATHER) statement. GATHER defines best practices for documenting and sharing data inputs, analyses and methods, and results. With the publication of the Global Burden of Disease Study 2015 (GBD 2015), various methods and tools were created or updated to align with the practices outlined in GATHER and fulfill IHME’s commitment to data sharing.

We hope that you will join us!
